At present, aluminum alloy die castings are widely used, and people have stricter requirements on the quality and appearance of the product itself. The appearance of the product after oxidation treatment is very beautiful. So many customers don't understand why aluminum die castings can't be oxidized?
To put it bluntly, the anodic treatment of aluminum is the whole process of electrolytic air oxidation. During the whole process, the surface layer of aluminum and aluminum alloy profiles is generally converted into layers of air oxide films, which are defensive and decorative. Art and some other functional characteristics, from this definition to the anodization of aluminum, only includes the whole process of converting into anodized film.
Alloy castings and castings usually have high silicon water content. Even if ht412 special-purpose ash remover for die-casting aluminum is applied, the anodized film will be dark brown, and it is impossible to obtain a completely transparent air oxide film without color. With the increase of silicon water content, the color of the anodized film is from light gray to dark gray to gray black, so aluminum alloy casting is not suitable for traditional anodizing.
After the above answer from the editor of the aluminum alloy die-casting factory, I believe everyone already knows why aluminum alloy die-casting is not suitable for anodizing. If you really want to do oxidation treatment, then you need to consider other materials to help you achieve.
