How to deburr the rough machining of aluminum alloy die castings?

Aluminum alloy die-casting products are mainly used in electronics, automobiles, motors, home appliances and some communication industries. Some aluminum alloy products with high performance, high precision and high toughness are also used in industries with relatively high requirements such as large aircraft and ships. The main use is still on the parts of some instruments.

1. Pure manual processing

The tools are files (manual files and pneumatic staggers), sandpaper, grinding heads, etc. However, this method can only deal with relatively simple aluminum alloy die castings. For castings with deep holes, cross holes and complex shapes, the manual processing efficiency is extremely low, and it is prone to defects.

2. Making a die

If the die-casting company has a punch, it will generally make a die for processing, but this method is only suitable for aluminum alloy die-casting parts with a simple parting surface, and it is also powerless if it is too complicated.

3. Using a grinder

This type of method is used by many die-casting companies, and it is more suitable for castings that are small in size but large in volume and not suitable for manual processing.

4. Rapid freezing

Mainly used in conjunction with shot blasting technology, the equipment is about 100,000, which is similar to the processing type of the grinder.

5. Hot explosion

By introducing some flammable gas into an equipment furnace, and then through the action of some media and conditions, the gas is instantly exploded, and the energy generated by the explosion is used to dissolve and remove the burr. The disadvantage is that it is too expensive, and only high-precision parts will be used.

6. Chemical reaction

Using the principle of electrochemical reaction, the parts made of metal materials can be automatically and selectively deburred. Works wonders for burrs smaller than 7mm, but not so good for burrs inside the casting.

7. High pressure water gun

Using water as a medium, it can use its instantaneous impact force to remove burrs and flashes generated after processing, and at the same time, it can achieve the purpose of cleaning.

8. Ultrasonic

The principle is to vibrate and generate high pressure to remove burrs, which is very practical for extremely small burrs.
